Coins In A Fountain (Funny Song) – Moments after Pats found Peter hiding under the St. Sidwell School Bench – unsure of the location of the people-eating monster – this is the song he heard, and couldn’t understand why the family found it so amusing.
Our teacher was a classic: revered, old-fashioned, and possessed of a quick mind, a swift hand and a huge behind. Hers was a zero tolerance policy: everything other than perfection will be punished without question or hesitation. Her thirteen-inch ruler never missed a slow knuckle, nor did her switch a lazy behind, and she alone, not the dictionary, defined what was slow and lazy of mind. Our teacher had no qualm: get it right or spend all night.
